All aboard

Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

There are so many attractions near my hometown in the South Hams. There’s Totnes castle, Buckfast Abbey, the Dartmoor Otter sanctuary, and so many more.

There’s one Ive still not done yet.

The South Devon Railway.

It uses the former Great Western Railway branch line, built in 1872.  You can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the River Dart valley as you journey between Buckfastleigh and Totnes on their charming steam trains. It’s on my to do list, maybe I’ll get round to it in 2026 and finally tick it off the list after 14 years.

About Bob W Christian

I’m Bob Christian; a husband, father, grandfather and cat dad. I’m a dyslexic poet. I am on the Autism Spectrum and I started writing poetry, or scribbles as I’ve always referred to them, to help me to process my thoughts and emotions. It’s also helped with my PTSD. It’s gone from there and after over 20 years is still going strong, I’m now finally dabbling in to photography as I’ve been told I have a good eye.
